The updated version of Senate Bill 649 now includes a clearer phrasing about court orders related to contempt. Specifically, it allows a court to direct a person found in contempt to participate in work-specific training. This change is important because it clarifies the court's authority and emphasizes the intention to promote rehabilitation through relevant job skills, rather than just punitive measures.
