Plain-language change summary

In the updated version of Senate Bill 329, the amount of a default charge that can be applied has increased from $15 to $20. This change matters because it raises the potential financial penalty for individuals who may miss a payment, thereby impacting their overall financial obligations under the contract. A single default charge can still be imposed, which aims to strike a balance between enforcing payment discipline and providing some protection for consumers.
