In the latest version of Senate Bill 521, the language has been clarified regarding the inclusion of hemp in certain products, stating that they won’t be labeled as adulterated or misbranded just because they contain hemp. This change is important because it helps ensure that products with hemp can be sold without facing unnecessary legal challenges or confusion, promoting better market conditions for hemp-derived goods. Additionally, the effective date for certain sections of the bill remains set for January 1, 2024.
