Plain-language change summary

The amendments to Senate Bill 577 included some changes to improve clarity and streamline licensing processes. Notably, provisions related to the handling of applicants' social security numbers were clarified to ensure privacy, stating that this information is not public record. Additionally, adjustments were made regarding the issuance of temporary assistance and licensing for vehicles sold directly to U.S. agencies, which helps target more specific needs. These changes matter because they enhance security and privacy while making it easier for certain entities to access necessary licenses.
