Plain-language change summary

The latest version of Senate Bill 26 has made some minor adjustments to the language, ensuring clarity in how the one-cent local sales and use tax will be distributed among counties. The bill specifies that the tax proceeds collected will be allocated proportionally based on the amount collected in each county, without splitting the funds within the county. These changes matter because they help clarify how funding will be shared, which can affect local budgets and community projects funded by these taxes.
