The updated version of House Bill 106 has added specific wording regarding the conditions under which the State Board of Education can waive certain assessment requirements. It clarifies that assessments may be administered before the end of the fall semester if there is a good reason for doing so. This change is significant because it allows more flexibility for certain schools in Winston-Salem/Forsyth County and Stokes County during their fall semester, which may help them better manage their academic schedules and student assessments.
