The amendments to Senate Bill 878 include the addition of specific wording and the clarification of terms, including the year and legislative session referenced. Specifically, the bill now clearly states that it applies to the Maury Sanitary Land District and extends the terms of the board members whose terms expire in 2023. These changes ensure that the legislative intent is clear and help maintain continuity in local governance. This matters because it directly affects how decisions about sanitary land management will be made in the region.
