Plain-language change summary

The latest version of Senate Bill 765 includes minor adjustments for clarity, such as specifying that all non-legislative citizen members are appointed for a term of four years and detailing the handling of funds related to cannabis businesses. These changes are important because they help establish clear guidelines for community investment and ensure accountability in the management of cannabis-related activities. Overall, the adjustments aim to support communities disproportionately affected by substance use while promoting responsible oversight of the emerging cannabis industry.
