Appropriations, if favorable, Rules, Calendar, and Operations of the House May 31, 2022 A BILL TO BE ENTITLED AN ACT TO ENUMERATE THE RIGHTS HELD BY PARENTS RELATED TO THE UPBRINGING, EDUCATION, HEALTH CARE, AND MENTAL HEALTH OF THEIR MINOR CHILD.
(1) To access and review all education records, as authorized by the federal FamilyFamilyEducational Educational Rights and PrivacyPrivacyAct, Act, 20 U.S.C.
(8) Toknowofthreats to hisorherchild's safety,safety,whetherto whetherto thechildindividually or to the school or local school administrative unit as a whole.
(9) To have his or her child diagnosed and served bybythe the education system for any learning disabilities that may affect the child's educational outcomes.
There is appropriated from the General Fund to the Department of Public Instruction the sum of fifty thousand dollars ($50,000) in nonrecurring funds for the *H1129-v-1* General Assembly Of North Carolina Session 2021 2022-2023 fiscal year to create a public awareness campaign to inform parents of their rights regarding their child's education.
