The amendment to Bill SB 541 clarifies and updates the language regarding the NC Promise Tuition Plan, specifically focusing on the financial obligations related to certain universities. It formalizes the appropriations from the General Fund to the Board of Governors while eliminating some outdated references, such as specific deadlines that have already passed. This change is important because it ensures the legislation is current and clearly outlines funding responsibilities, helping to maintain financial support for students attending these institutions.
