The updated version of Senate Bill 684 clarifies the definition of a "public school" as specifically including both elementary and secondary schools in North Carolina. This change is significant because it ensures that the bill explicitly recognizes all levels of public education within the scope of its provisions, potentially impacting funding and resources allocated to these institutions. By clearly defining public schools, the bill aims to strengthen support for educational programs and effective teaching strategies across the state.
