Plain-language change summary

The updated version of Bill HB 256 has added several local school districts, such as Wayne County Public Schools and Winston-Salem/Forsyth County Schools, to the list of those eligible to participate in a specific educational program. Additionally, it has removed Iredell-Statesville Schools and Transylvania County Schools from the eligible list. These changes matter because they expand access to the program for more students and schools, potentially benefiting a larger community, while also streamlining which schools can opt out of participation.
