Plain-language change summary

The bill has been amended to clarify the procedures for filling vacancies on the Lincoln County Board of Education. The changes specify that if a board member no longer resides in their district, the board can declare a vacancy, and it outlines how vacancies for both nonpartisan and partisan elected positions should be handled. This matters because it ensures a consistent process for filling unexpected openings, which helps maintain effective governance and representation in the school board.
