The amendment to House Bill 862 adds a provision allowing physicians to include advanced practice providers in collaborative practice agreements. This change is important because it expands the scope of healthcare collaboration, enabling more efficient care management and better patient access to services. Additionally, it ensures that any rules developed by the Medical Board and the Board of Pharmacy will only take effect after being approved by both boards.
