The recent amendment to House Bill 660 adds clarification regarding the types of facilities and treatment beds related to chemical dependency and substance use disorders. Specifically, the revised language now clearly states that "chemical dependency treatment beds" do not include beds licensed for detoxification. This change is significant because it distinguishes between types of treatment services, helping to ensure that facilities and their resources are appropriately designated and utilized according to their specific purposes. This clarification can streamline treatment options for individuals seeking help for substance use disorders.
