The updated version of House Bill 528 introduces a new provision that clarifies the penalties for violations related to food regulations. Importantly, it specifies that if someone continues to violate the law after receiving written notice, each day of violation can be counted separately, making penalties more severe for ongoing offenses. Additionally, a previous section that referenced a specific law has been removed. This change aims to enhance accountability and ensure stricter adherence to food safety standards in North Carolina.
