The changes to Bill HB 421 primarily involve refining language for clarity, particularly around the confidentiality agreement for board members and how disciplinary charges are handled. These adjustments ensure that the terms of the agreement are satisfactory to the City of Charlotte and clearly define when disciplinary charges are considered resolved. This matters because it helps protect sensitive information while ensuring accountability in the board's decisions, which is important for maintaining public trust in local governance.
