In the revised version of House Bill 277, the definition of "nursing" has been clarified and expanded to include specific aspects of the profession, such as teaching and evaluating nursing practices. Additionally, the description of "nursing programs" has been streamlined to ensure that it clearly refers to educational programs in North Carolina preparing individuals for nursing licensure. These changes matter because they help create a clearer understanding of what constitutes nursing and nursing education, which is important for setting standards in healthcare and ensuring quality training for future nurses.
