Plain-language change summary

In the updated version of Senate Bill 329, the threshold for certain alterations in commercial buildings has been increased from $15,000 to $20,000. Additionally, the conditions under which repairs and renovations are considered have been clarified to ensure that they do not include major additions. These changes are significant because they could reduce the regulatory burden on property owners and contractors, making it easier and more cost-effective to undertake minor renovations without extensive permits or compliance costs.
