Plain-language change summary

The latest version of House Bill 718 has changed the required work experience for applicants seeking a teaching license for manicurists and natural hair care specialists. Originally, applicants needed to prove two years of experience; this has now been reduced to just one year. This change matters because it could make it easier for more individuals to enter the teaching profession in these areas, potentially addressing workforce shortages in beauty and cosmetic education.
