In the latest version of House Bill 687, several rivers and bodies of water have been added to the list of designated areas within the bill. Notably, the Waccamaw River and Shallotte River were included, while the White Oak River and Yadkin (Yadkin-Pee Dee) River were removed. These changes expand the scope of the bill, ensuring that more waterways in North Carolina are addressed for the purposes outlined in the legislation, which is important for environmental management and resource allocation.
