The revised text removes some phrases and clarifies the language regarding Officer Eugene Goodman's actions during the Capitol breach on January 6, 2021. It streamlines the recognition of Officer Goodman’s heroism and specifies that the Secretary of the Treasury will determine the design of the gold medal, omitting details about overhead expenses and the cost of the medal. These changes focus on highlighting Officer Goodman's actions directly and simplifying the bill's requirements.
