Plain-language change summary

The recent changes to Bill HB 51 focus on expanding access to home care services for older adults. Specifically, the bill now clearly establishes that services will be available for individuals aged sixty-five and older who are eligible for nursing care. Additionally, it allows qualified entities to assist with the application process for medical assistance on behalf of these individuals, which can make it easier for them to receive the care they need in less restrictive settings. This is important because it aims to improve the quality of life for older adults by offering them more choices in their care options.
