Plain-language change summary

The updated version of Bill HB 2437 introduces new requirements for facilities to report COVID-19 related data to appropriate licensing departments, specifying how outbreaks of serious communicable diseases must be reported based on different facility types. Additionally, the amendment streamlines the language surrounding infection control surveys that the Department of Health and the Department of Human Services will distribute, ensuring clarity in what data will be collected and made publicly accessible. This matters because it enhances accountability in reporting infectious disease outbreaks, helping to better protect public health.
