Plain-language change summary

The recent amendments to Bill HB 357 include the addition of a requirement for schools in Pennsylvania to efficiently transfer students' attendance records when they move to another school or nonpublic institution. This change establishes a clear timeline of ten days for the sending school to provide these records after receiving a request. Additionally, references to "tort liability" were removed from the bill, simplifying its focus on student enrollment and school operations. This matters because it streamlines processes for student transfers, making it easier for schools to manage student records seamlessly.
