EACH CANDIDATE <-- FOR GOVERNOR, HAVING BEEN NOMINATED UNDER THE LAWS OF THIS COMMONWEALTH, SHALL, SUBJECT TO THE APPROVAL OF THE POLITICAL PARTY OR POLITICAL BODY, IF ANY, NOMINATING SUCH CANDIDATE, SELECT A CANDIDATE FOR LIEUTENANT GOVERNOR WITHIN SUCH TIME BEFORE THE GUBERNATORIAL GENERAL ELECTION AS THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY SHALL PRESCRIBE BY LAW.
The Secretary of the Commonwealth shall submit this proposed constitutional amendment to the qualified electors of this Commonwealth at the first 20190SB0133PN1185 - 2 - primary, general or municipal election which meets the requirements of and is in conformance with section 1 of Article XI of the Constitution of Pennsylvania and which occurs at least three months after the proposed constitutional amendment is passed by the General Assembly.
