The recent changes to Bill SB 1235 clarify regulations about public access and parking requirements for leased land adjacent to the Delaware River. The amendment now specifies that if modifications to public access are needed, both the Department of Environmental Protection and the Department of General Services must approve them. Additionally, it emphasizes that public access must be established not only for the leased premises but also for the land next to it. This matters because it ensures that there is better access to public spaces and waterways, promoting community use and environmental protection.
