Plain-language change summary

The bill SB 1128 has been amended to clarify guidelines regarding driver's license suspensions during a declared judicial emergency. Specifically, it stipulates that individuals will not face license suspensions if the time for their required actions or payments coincides with the emergency, and they will have an additional 30 days to comply once the emergency ends. This change matters because it provides better protection for people's driving privileges, ensuring they are not penalized during extraordinary circumstances when they might struggle to meet deadlines.
