Appropriations, Health and Human Services, if favorable, Rules, Calendar, and Operations of the House April 16, 2019 A BILL TO BE ENTITLED AN ACT TO APPROPRIATE FUNDS TO THE DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH AND HUMAN SERVICES TO INCREASE THE PERSONAL NEEDS ALLOWANCE FOR MEDICAID RECIPIENTS WHO RESIDE IN INSTITUTIONS IN ORDER TO PARTIALLY CORRECT FOR INFLATION AND ALLOW OUR STATE'S RESIDENTS OF NURSING HOMES AND OTHER INSTITUTIONS TO RETAIN MORE OF THEIR OWN FUNDS TO PURCHASE PERSONAL ITEMS.
These funds shall provide a State match for an estimated nine million six hundred sixteen thousand three hundred seventy-five dollars ($9,616,375) in recurring federal funds for the 2019-2020 fiscal year and nine million six hundred sixteen thousand three hundred seventy-five dollars ($9,616,375) in recurring federal funds for the 2020-2021 fiscal year, and *DRH30323-MRa-112* General Assembly Of North Carolina Session 2019 those federal funds are appropriated to the Division of Health Benefits to pay for costs associated with the rate increases under Section 1 of this act.
These funds shall provide a State match for an estimated nine million six hundred sixteen thousand three hundred seventy-five dollars ($9,616,375) in recurring federal funds for the 2019-2020 fiscal year and nine million six hundred sixteen thousand three hundred *H753-v-1* General Assembly Of North Carolina Session 2019 seventy-five dollars ($9,616,375) in recurring federal funds for the 2020-2021 fiscal year, and those federal funds are appropriated to the Division of Health Benefits to pay for costs associated with the rate increases under Section 1 of this act.
