The updated version of House Bill 855 removes the requirement that all horticultural land must produce an average gross income of at least $1,000. This change simplifies the criteria for qualifying land, allowing more farmers to take advantage of the benefits outlined in the bill. This is significant because it could support a wider range of agricultural operations and encourage more local farming activity.
