What changed in the latest version
44 added · 47 removedPlain-language change summary
The revised bill now specifically states that the pilot program for GPS tracking of domestic violence offenders will be conducted in Forsyth County, instead of being broadly defined. Additionally, it clarifies that offenders may be responsible for covering the costs of the GPS devices. These changes are important because they focus the program on a specific area, making it easier to evaluate its effectiveness, and ensure that offenders contribute to the financial responsibility, potentially easing the burden on public resources.
