The recent amendments to Senate Bill 682 include clarifications around the notification process from the district attorney's office to victims, emphasizing that these notifications must be accurate and timely. Additionally, if a court hearing is closed to a victim, the victim is entitled to examine or obtain copies of relevant parts of juvenile records. These changes aim to ensure that victims are better informed and have access to important information, which can help them feel more secure and supported throughout legal proceedings.
