Plain-language change summary

The recent changes to Bill HB 557 clarify how tax proceeds are shared between counties, municipalities, and taxing districts. The updated language specifies that if a county or municipality does not provide sufficient tax information on time, they may be excluded from receiving their share of monthly tax distributions. This change matters because it encourages local governments to report tax information promptly, ensuring fair distribution of funds and better financial management within the community.
