Plain-language change summary

The amendment to HB 274 clarifies the process for sharing confidential information about a juvenile suspected of abuse or neglect, specifically mentioning that this may include notifying military authorities when a caregiver has military ties. The change ensures that the confidentiality of the information is maintained even after it's shared with other agencies. This matters because it highlights the importance of safeguarding sensitive information while facilitating better protection and support for at-risk children connected to military families.
