The recent amendments to SB 352 add clear definitions for "hemp," "hemp extract," and "hemp product," specifying that these must contain no more than 0.3% delta-9 THC on a dry weight basis. This changes how these products are categorized and regulated, which is important for ensuring safety and compliance in the marketplace. Additionally, the language surrounding "isomer" has been streamlined, removing redundant phrases for clarity. Overall, these updates aim to create a more precise framework for the legal understanding and commercialization of hemp and its derivatives.
