What changed in the latest version

The updated version of House Bill 447 adds a definition for "body of water," clarifying what types of water sources are included, such as ponds, streams, and lakes that serve various purposes like wildlife habitat or irrigation. It ensures that owners or possessors of these water bodies have a responsibility to care for trespassers who may be in danger if discovered in a vulnerable situation. This change is significant because it defines the extent of liability for property owners, which could influence how they manage their land and water resources.
