The bill has been revised to focus on a broader study of career and college readiness in North Carolina schools, rather than just the inclusion of specific coursework in school performance grades. This change adds important components, such as defining what career and college readiness means and identifying relevant skills and success measures. By expanding the scope, the bill aims to create a more comprehensive approach to preparing students for life after high school, which could lead to better educational outcomes and career opportunities for students.
