Plain-language change summary

The recent changes to House Bill 158 include a scheduling adjustment for the Department's reporting on the Transportation Improvement Program, moving from a semiannual to an annual report. Additionally, the requirement for the Department to post proposed changes to the program on its website has been refined. These adjustments are significant as they streamline the reporting process, presumably making it easier for lawmakers and the public to stay informed about transportation improvements in North Carolina. Overall, the revisions aim to enhance transparency and accountability in transportation planning.
