The recent amendments to HB 1229 primarily clarified the allocation of funds and revised the scope of data analysis regarding economic impact due to COVID-19. Specifically, the bill now emphasizes developing modeling for economic impact and recovery analysis rather than focusing on underground economy analysis. Additionally, a new appropriation was added for administrative costs related to the Food and Nutrition Services Program. These changes ensure that the funding is used more effectively to address the impact of the pandemic on employment and support those in need.
