The amendment to Senate Bill 306 clarified the language regarding heirs. It specifically removed the phrase identifying which family members—such as a spouse, dependent child, or parent—would be considered if there were no survivors. This change simplifies the bill's wording and could help eliminate confusion about who qualifies as an heir in these circumstances, which is important for ensuring that legal decisions are clear and effective.
