Plain-language change summary

The updated version of Senate Bill 376 includes minor wording changes, specifically in the way it describes the administration of the North Carolina Patriot Star Family Scholarship and the costs covered under that scholarship. Changes were made to ensure clarity regarding eligible expenses, including off-campus housing, which further emphasizes that the costs for students living independently can be supported. These adjustments are significant as they aim to better assist families of veterans by clearly defining what expenses are covered, making it easier for students and their families to plan for educational costs.
