Plain-language change summary

In the updated version of House Bill 1102, two primary changes were made: the addition of language clarifying the definitions surrounding refunds for equipment nonconformity and the reinforcement of consumer rights regarding repair attempts. This update is important because it provides clearer guidelines on how refunds are calculated, ensuring consumers are fairly compensated for the use of faulty equipment. Additionally, by specifying that a reasonable number of repair attempts are presumed, it strengthens protections for consumers seeking warranty claims.
