The recent changes to Bill HB 367 include the removal of a provision that allowed grant recipients to use funds to replace existing funding sources, such as federal funds. This means that organizations receiving grants will now be limited in how they can use the funding, ensuring that the money is directed toward new initiatives rather than covering existing expenses. This amendment is important because it aims to ensure that the grants contribute to the expansion of services rather than merely supplementing current funding.
