What changed in the latest version
1357 added · 1427 removedPlain-language change summary
In the latest version of Senate Bill 715, there are several significant changes to how receipts from sales and services are defined for tax purposes. One key addition clarifies that receipts from services directly related to tangible property sold in the state are included, which helps ensure that more business activities are accounted for in state income calculations. Moreover, the updated language specifies how to determine the portion of income for services performed both within and outside the state, allowing for a fairer allocation of taxable income based on where the services are actually provided. These changes aim to create a clearer and more equitable tax framework for businesses operating in the state.
