Plain-language change summary

The amendment to House Bill 644 adds a specific requirement for reporting on charter schools that receive grants, including details on the amount awarded and the transportation costs that qualify for reimbursement. This change is important because it enhances transparency by ensuring that the state has clear information on how grant funds are used, which can help in assessing the effectiveness of the program. Additionally, maintaining proper oversight on the financial aspects related to student transportation costs can ensure better allocation of resources.
