The recent amendment to Bill HB 382 includes specific language about conducting audits or investigations of applicant business entities before they are licensed. This change clarifies the types of corporate records that will be examined and ensures that the Commissioner has the authority to review additional factors deemed necessary. This is important as it aims to enhance oversight and ensure that businesses seeking licenses have a solid financial foundation and compliance history, ultimately promoting greater stability and trust in the insurance sector.
