Plain-language change summary

The amendment to HB 710 cleaned up some wording about the penalties for tampering with vehicle immobilization devices, ensuring it’s clear that only the company that placed the device can remove it. It specifies that tampering could lead to either a minor fine or a more serious Class 1 misdemeanor if significant damage occurs. This clarity is important because it protects the rights of immobilization companies and emphasizes the seriousness of tampering, aiming to deter such actions.
