The updated version of Bill HB 2990 has added specific exceptions that allow individuals on parole to associate with others who are also on parole, as long as the activities are related to community programs or other positive engagements, and there’s no evidence of criminal intent. This change is important because it aims to support rehabilitation and reintegration into society by encouraging positive social interactions, rather than isolating individuals and potentially increasing the risk of reoffending.
