The updated version of SB 1759 includes new provisions allowing sex offenders to register their residence if they are required to live in a hospital or nursing home as part of their release conditions. Additionally, a card issued by the Department of Corrections can now be used as valid identification for residency registration. These changes clarify the rules around where offenders must register and help ensure that their living situations are accurately documented, which is important for public safety and compliance with the law.
