Plain-language change summary

The recent amendments to HB 4836 update the definition of "own home" for adults with mental disabilities. Now, it allows these individuals to live with 4 or 5 unrelated adults, increasing the previous limit of 3. This change is important because it could provide greater housing flexibility and support for adults with mental disabilities, allowing for more community-based living arrangements and reducing reliance on institutional care.
